One summer, my last summer before starting school,
Mom told me I would have a school teacher just for me
I answered that if every child had a teacher, the school had to be over crowded!
“Not all children, my booby, others don’t need it!” mother said.
“Which others?” I asked
“The normal ones, my love”
“What does ‘normal’ mean Mom?”
“Normal means… like everyone else.”
Then Mom said she had to go clean the bathroom and went quickly.
Funny, it seemed to me that she had already finished cleaning the bathroom…
Left alone with Gabriele I asked him what normal meant.
He told me that if you are a seagull and you live among other seagulls you are normal, if you are a seagull and you live among horses you are not normal
Normality does not depend on you but on the people surrounding you
